Domestic Theologian Raglan Shirt for Mamas
My vision for “domestic theologian” apparel began quite some time ago, when I observed the ways in which we seem prone to want to label ourselves as mamas: I’m a whole-foods mom. I’m a homeschooling mom. I’m a ballet mom. I’m a swim team mom. I’m a music mom. I’m a boy mom — and on and on.
None of these self-identifiers are evil, but their prevalence prompted me to consider how we ought to think of ourselves as mothers, on a much grander scale than our own preferences, passions, and predilections. We are made in the image of God; we are designed to create, to nurture, to love, to work, and to think. Our most fundamental identity is in Christ, and the outworkings of that identity is what gives shape and character to our hearts and our homes.
Even if our sphere of influence exists primarily in the home, we are called to be theologians. We must labor to think rightly and serve faithfully. This is the calling of a domestic theologian.
Join me in declaring an identity that is already true in Christ: a domestic theologian. Read more about what it means to be a domestic theologian right here.
Note from Allison: This is the most comfortable shirt I have in my closet! You will find me wearing either my pink or the blue Domestic Theologian shirts several days a week, and they are more comfortable with each wearing.
